An Evaluation Of The Oilfield Solutions

By Judy Sullivan

Drilling, transportation and processing of oil is very complicated. The mineral is drilled as crude mineral which is then taken through a series of processes. The fine products are produced from the process. This is commonly done in the refineries. Most of the refineries are constructed near the drilling points. The oilfield solutions are offered to the companies drilling the crude mineral.

Drilling of oil is done by very complicated machines. Before the drilling starts, there are a number of tests that have to be carried out on the drilling areas. These are done by the environmental and earth scientists. Most of them assess whether the rocks in the ground hold enough reserves to warrant the commercial drilling. These are done by sending a number of seismic waves through the rocks holding the oil reserves.

Environment evaluation is led by a group of ecological engineers. These engineers carry a number of tests on the environment around the drilling site. The ecological systems are tested. The living organisms around the environment are also taken into consideration. The balances between the various systems are also brought into question. The risks of causing imbalance are weighed against the benefits of undertaking commercial drilling. The risks could include pollution or disruptions of the ecological balances.

The drilling sites are cleared and then fenced to prevent people and animals from wandering into the sites. Drilling equipments are then transported into the drilling sites. The large machines are dismantled and then pieces are transported to the site. The smaller pieces are then assembled on reaching the site. Smaller machines are transported wholly to minimize the transportation costs. The disaster warning and management systems are then integrated into the drilling rigs.

The drilling process is done in stages. The first stage involves the drilling of the lightest components which are usually on top of the reserve. In most cases, the natural gas is siphoned from the top layer of reserve and then transported to the ground. This is then followed by denser components such as diesel and petrol. These are transported to refineries for further processing.

Management of oil testing, drilling and distillation requires very complicated machinery. To set up such systems is a is a also very complicated. There is a need to employ the finest brains to manage such systems. The engineers manning such systems undergo frequent on-job training to facilitate their work efficiency.

There are various components of an internal environment within a drilling and a distillation process. The individual processes contribute to the accuracy of the general system. These processes are audited and checked frequently. System audit assesses the control measures put in place for the general functioning of the whole system. These measures are also used to boost the health and security conditions of the workers.

The oilfield solutions are offered by a number of specialized firms. Before the firms are allowed to operate, the department of industrialization carries a number of tests and checks. These are aimed at establishing how the firms are equipped with handling the complicated processes. Once the necessary control mechanisms have been checked, operating licenses are issued.
