The longevity and magnitude of perfumes depends on the power, concentration, and longevity of the used savoury and natural compounds. The quantity of savoury compounds is increased for increasing the longevity and intensity of the perfume which is formed. Imprecise and imprecise are some specific terms which are used to outline a particular type of perfume concentration by volume/percentage of perfume oil.

Different types of dissolving solutions are used to dilute the oils present in the scent. One of the commonest and generally used solvent is water and ethanol blend or ethanol alone.
