Making Your Car's Sound System Awesome

By Maryl Joop

When you head out in the wilderness, you might wonder what you should bring along with you. Since you won't be near modern conveniences for the entirety of your trip, you have to plan ahead and bring along a wide range of goods. It's recommended that you pack an enormous amount of food and water.

Emergency flashlights can be purchased and stored in the home or in the family's emergency preparedness kit at little costs. There are also emergency flashlights available that are crank powered making them even easier to use in an emergency and without batteries.

Pursue Perfection

Cooking Before You Leave

Next, one will want to cover one end of the cardboard tubing being used with tape so as to seal the end and prevent the batteries from falling out of the make-shift flashlight. After this is done, carefully place the battery with the wire taped to it into the tubing with the positive side up so that wire runs from the bottom of the sealed tube up vertically out the top of the tube.

Investing in Ice

If the wire is not sticking out of the tube enough to stretch to the positive terminal of the second battery, then the wire is too short and will need to be replaced. Secure the bulb to the positive side of the exposed second battery with tape. Now, a rudimentary homemade flashlight has been created and can be activated (illuminated) by simply touching the wire to the silver metal base of the bulb itself. While it may sound complicated, creating one's own flashlight at home is simple and quick as long as the right supplies are used.
