Be aware of the dangerous wealth attraction wolves. Well, how does a wolf go? All right here we go. I was going to bark, but I realized I usually do not know how a wolf barks. However, I think everyone knows how a wolf howls. Give me -- what is it, an ooo?" Go on, BJ. Stand up and do it for everybody. I do not know why but BJ seems to enjoy it too much. All right. On three, let's do an "awoo" or whatever it is. One, two, three, "Awoo!"
Audience: Awoo
James: Now, come on, do it better than that. Do it like BJ, he stuck his nose up. One, two, three, "Awoo!"
Audience: Awoo
By the way, is it okay if we have fun and laugh? Yeah. When Vicki, my sister, died of a brain tumor, I realized something. Life is about that long. We have to laugh. A friend of mine, Ed Foreman, a great speaker, one of my favorite speakers. He's just a good old boyfriend from Texas. He says, "Life is for living, laughing, and loving. It is not for whining, worrying, and working." Okay. So here we go.
A meme. I learned this from a terrific person named Randy Gage. A meme is a virus of the mind. Now, we get programmed. It gets perpetuated in society to stereotype particular things.
For instance, think of the love story, Titanic. How many of you saw the love story Titanic? It's not all a love story. A part of it is, but the other part is a negative programming story. Think about this scenario. In most movies, who is usually the bad guy? Yes, the bad guy is the guy with the money, the rich guy, right? We're being preprogrammed that wealth is bad! Look, let me tell you something. If I start to things over and over and over and see things over and over and over I start to think, well, it has got to be true. That is how our minds work. In Spiderman, who was the bad guy? The rich guy. Titanic, who is the bad guy?
Audience: The rich guy.
James: Yeah, Rose. Oh, poor Rose shows up in the limousine, the olden days limousine. She did not have anything to worry about in her life. She is miserable. She does not have to worry about Top Ramen noodles, but no, she is miserable. Think about the movie for a second, right? You go through her life, the best clothes, the best food, the best schooling, and then what happens, she sneaks downstairs and sees the poor people with nothing. She sees them laughing, and then thinks of everybody upstairs who has the money and the best places and the big jewels, the diamond, oh, it is so miserable.
We see these images, and we start saying to ourselves, "Oh, when you get the money you are miserable. When you get the money, you are a bastard like the guy who wanted to marry Rose in the movie. Everybody looks at you that way. Then what happens? Rose sneaks off. Oh, my God!
People down way below by the engine room, they are up there like hooting and hollering and "Whoo, yoo, whoo!" Then they dance and flip up their shoes. They have big holes in them, yet their life is so much more fun. We start thinking if you have money and nice shoes, you cannot dance or have fun!
Then, the nice guy, Leo -- not Leo, who was it? Jack Dawson. He's the nice guy because he doesn't have any money. Seriously. Think about this for a second. He's the nice guy, although, he and his friends gamble and steal food. Think about this storyline. Is it not true, everything about this regarding money and people with money as bad and negative? When you start thinking about it, you'll watch movies differently.
I love beer commercials. I sit there and watch beer commercials. Always, there's a guy drinking beer. He has 2 hot blondes on his arms. What does it start to program? Hey, drink this Mr. Single Guy because you'll attract women, very attractive women. I haven't seen it work. I still got water, and barbecue sauce in my fridge, because I have yet to see it happen for anybody I know by the beer they drink. It just amazes me. You know, they show people drinking beer on TV and they're always in best of shape. Yeah. Think about what happens? We start to get programmed that way. Do you think about this stuff? You need to be aware of the meme which is a virus of the mind that we get preprogrammed to believe this stuff.
