The Cairngorm Mountains were slammed while at lower levels there was flooding on a lot of roads as rain added to the bitter winter misery.
Not surprisingly we expect to have cold weather up here in Orkney however it's still not much fun whenever we receive a battering. Certainly the first two thirds of November were pretty warm with plants still flowering and birds getting confounded and building nests and courting. They must surely have got the message now, that they're being a bit untimely.
