Affiliate Marketing And Me

By Corey E. Moyer

Have you been working 50 to 60 hours a week still don't have any money at the end of the week? Maybe you just do not have time for your family because the job requires your time nearly all the time even when you are home. Maybe you just want to make some extra cash for yourself and your family, after the bills are paid. Whatever your reasoning may be, if you want to make money online, affiliate marketing can just what you are looking for.

This is why a lot of companies are hesitant to engage fully in online marketing. The strategy would certainly require a lot of time and effort, not to mention a massive knowledge on the workings of the Internet. Now this is where affiliate marketing becomes useful. By definition, affiliate marketing refers to a company offering rewards and incentives to their affiliates who would be able to make successful client referrals. Affiliates can be individuals who are adept in online marketing or third-party businesses that can outsource the job.

The reason for this is because the markup on these types of products is nearly 100%. It costs the owner of the product almost nothing to sell and eBook or a downloadable software program. You can earn commissions as high as 75%. Generally the rates are 50%-75%. Which happens to be a great commission rate?

Most of these affiliates are based online. This is more preferable because they can be grouped based on demographics like geographic location, market reach, and online skill. The more affiliates there are to a business, the bigger the chances are of tapping on even the most remote areas. This can increase the probability of the product or service being sold.

One of the most important factors to consider in affiliate marketing is choosing quality products and services to promote? Do your homework to bring the highest quality products and services you can find to market. It can make or break your earnings. The easiest rule to follow is to find a product or service that you are interested in and then join that affiliate program. So start making a list of your interests and see what affiliate programs come up from that list.

One of the best ways to make money online is you must have a website or a mini site so you can build an email list of prospective customers. I recommend Word press it is the easiest to use and builds you quality websites very quickly and it is easy to learn. You can find several tutorials for using Word press on You Tube. Make sure that your site is easy to navigate and is keyword rich and has a direct call to action and always provide value to you prospects. Then provide them a sign up form- then they are compelled to sign up and possibly purchase your affiliate offer that you are promoting. A quality landing page is key and has a call to action for your targeted visitors to do what you need them to do. It must have well written text that rates or reviews the product or, a video tutorial that lets visitors learn how to benefit and use the product well and an opt-in form.

Many people confuse affiliate marketing from doing actual referrals. Actually, the difference is very minimal. Both strategies require third-parties to promote products and attract potential customers. However, referrals are more personal in its approach. In doing referrals, there has to be trust between the person marketing the product and the audience. Affiliate marketing, on the other hand, can be done on a purely business level.

There is different ways on how you can drive people to your website. Using social networks and letting people know about your affiliate sites, or you can talk to friends and family. There are other ways to get attention to your site through press releases is one way. Writing articles can get attention to your site. Forums or blog posts will help as well. Just be creative and see what works and what does not Do your due diligence; examine your chosen market and test, test, test. Finding a mentor will definitely speed the process. Mentors can be expensive but well worth the money in the long run. Remember the building of any business takes time and hard work, but, if you are diligent and focused you will have success.
