Gaming Done Socially &the Work Of A Social Media Marketing Coach

By Rob Sutter

I may not consider games seen on Facebook as some of the most intense but I do recognize their place in modern culture. I know that many individuals sink tremendous amounts of time in them and that there are incentives to keep coming back, whether they appeal to me or not. That being said, there are positives and negatives to be seen as far as social gaming is concerned. I believe that many can point them out but perhaps no one is better to do so than a social media marketing coach.

It's apparent that there is a lot of attention brought to games with words like "farm" and "ville" in the title. It sounds like a clich statement to make but you have to take into account that they have garnered much attention, one of the reasons being is that they are free to play. People who do not purchase consoles are going to want a quick form of entertainment elsewhere. Knowing that these games exist allow individuals to sink time in such tremendous amounts, it's almost hard to believe.

While I do understand that these games have a certain appeal, I don't know if it's the kind that will be seen in the long term. I don't know if these games have the right amount of complexity to keep everyone playing, which is unfortunate for those entities which have to keep people playing. However, when you have to constantly take care of farms or break eggs without any change in the structure, you are going to start to look for another form of entertainment to spend time on.

If I was playing a game like this, I would like to make certain that there is a goal to be seen. For example, "Diablo II" has earned so much of my attention when I was younger and even though it involved a number of people while online, it always seemed like there was a level of progression and it wasn't exactly tiring to fight monsters and collect loot. A sense of appeal like this is needed in games that are highlighted by a social media marketing coach. Keeping the attention of users is vital for authorities such as S-M-M-C.

Video games come together to form a type of media that is not going away anytime soon. To me, it's the kind of hobby that just about anyone can get into and it's one that is able to form entertainment that anyone can get into. Social games may not be the types that I'd like to play with but I understand that less intense crowds are going to sink time into them. It's something that a social media marketing coach can recognize and this will not go away anytime soon.
