Where To Go Next With Your Career

By Clare Westwood

Finding Your Perfect Career

Are you thinking about changing career? Perhaps you have been considering a career change for some time but have been too scare to make the move. Perhaps you are starting to feel increasingly frustrated at work and feel that there are no more way to grow within your current role. It doesn't matter what your reason for wanting a change is, working up the courage to make the change and apply for a new position is the key to having a happier work life.

Often people fall into thinking that work is all about earning as much money as possible although this isn't necessarily the case. Earning money is clearly important but being fulfilled and happy in your career is equally important. If you no longer feel motivated then it can be hard to meet targets and shine in your role. You will be more likely to succeed in your role if you are in a position that you find challenging and exciting. Whether you are just starting out in your career or wanting a change in direction it is important that you understand what will make you enjoy your role.

Often people are now concerned with which career or job provides the most security as well as where they can earn the most money. It is important to make a clear discovery of what will keep you in a job and happy rather than focussing on these two things. When you have a good understanding of what you'd like to do you will find that it'll be easier to find jobs that you are confident in applying for.

If you want some professional help with applying for jobs or matching your skills with roles that you may find of interest then perhaps consider working with a recruitment consultant. Recruitment consultants can help you get your CV noticed and often they know of vacancies that aren't made public.
