How To Decorate Your Office Using Card Holders

By James Jackcombe

An untidy office space often leads to confusion and mistakes and many people find it challenging to be productive and complete their tasks. It may be hard trying to find the paperwork and information you require to get on with the job. Often the most elusive item on our desks is the business card and that problem can be quickly solved through the use of card holders.

Every day countless business cards are exchanging hands as people network around the globe. Whatever the size of your enterprise, business cards are a useful way of reminding ourselves of the telephone numbers and websites of those we have encountered and wish to stay in contact with. They are a valuable file of information of the various goods and services on offer which we may wish to avail ourselves of in the future. Keeping them at our finger tips saves us time.

However, they do seem to disappear into drawers, pockets and filing cabinets and never seem to be just there when you need them, resulting in tedious and frustrating searches for that elusive piece of information.

The use of card holders will keep such information in a handy location near the telephone; ending the fruitless rummage around the kitchen or workplace for that essential number which will put you in touch with your client or electrician.

The sheer variety of sizes and styles ensures that there is just the right card holder out there for your needs. We might need just a one pocket counter top business card stand to place next to the phone at home for handy trade cards. The office environment will probably require larger card holders to keep the business cards in relevant groups or alphabetically. And, of course, you will want a card holder for your own cards either within the workplace or when out and about. All will ensure those cards are sorted and readily available.

Having found and sorted all your business cards into the card holder, you can concentrate on sorting through the weekly build up of papers and mail that require your attention. Using a little time at the end of each day to discard the junk and place your paperwork in order of importance will result in a tidier space and a more efficient and productive day.

Tackling the disarray need not be a laborious task. If you stay on track first thing every morning and tidy the muddle you will soon be rewarded with an ordered workload that will ultimately free up time, something we are all short off. Take control of the muddle and arrange your space with card holders.
