Find Sophisticated And Uncommon Solitaire Engagement Rings

By Adrian Jones

Solitaire Engagement Rings With Additional Style

Should you be looking for solitaire engagement rings that are also designer engagement rings, then jewellery designers on Orkney have ample designs that will help you decide on this important ring. The styles range from the smart-looking modern to Celtic and Norse influenced styles which remain much sought-after by contemporary followers of fashion.

Considered one of the most trendy nowadays in this range is Breeze, which reminds us fondly of the soft whispers of a summer season puff of air, so delicate it lightly blows the dandelion clocks. If only we might turn the clocks forward to the summer time!

Get Blown Away By Solitaire Engagement Rings

A few days ago in Orkney, where the stunning solitaire engagement rings are designed and made, we have been blasted by the strongest gusts of wind of the year. Power was lost to hundreds of homes and the radio transmitter on the summit of one of our hills has been struck dumb by lightning. Swells and substantial tides caused by by the major gales means ferries between the islands and mainland Scotland were postponed. And in addition we have had no Sunday papers delivered to the isles because the battering winds stopped the ships.

Squalls of 130mph were documented on Sunday afternoon on Hammars Hill where wind generators are located. But the storms were too violent for the wind generators to operate. That's akin to a grade 1 storm! Even at ground level there were winds of 80mph at Kirkwall airport.

Fortunately we don't have many trees to be uprooted and flung all over the roads or onto properties. And those structures have very strong walls and large pieces of stone on the roofs which are cemented solidly down. Other regions on mainland Scotland bore the brunt of the weather too. The Cairngorm Mountains were slammed while at lower levels there was flooding on a lot of roads as rain added to the bitter winter misery.

Not surprisingly we expect to have cold weather up here in Orkney however it's still not much fun whenever we receive a battering. Certainly the first two thirds of November were pretty warm with plants still flowering and birds getting confounded and building nests and courting. They must surely have got the message now, that they're being a bit untimely.

If you are considering a spring or summer wedding it is well worth taking a look at our solitaire engagement rings and designer engagement rings. Just take a look at Orkney jewellery websites and take your pick.
