Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Advertising is the main way of attracting customers to your business. There are and have been many different ways of advertising yet all of these ways have been to meet one goal. This goal being to entice as many people as possible towards your business making sure that these people are in your target market.

In the early days national press, such as newspapers and radio, were the perfect way to advertise. But then along came the invention of temporarily the greatest form of advertising, television. For several decades now television ads have been the most effective way to advertise, this however has now changed for there is a method that surpasses it.

This method of course is the Internet. Around a 6th of the world's population (over 1.3 billion people) use the Internet. You are able to select who of those you want the sell to and then target your adverts towards them. There has never been a way to do this effectively before.

Making a website for your company is the most popular way to do this and then set up a pay-per-click campaign on Google. For example, if your company were to sell laptops and you were to set up a pay-per-click advertising campaign on Google, then each time a person searches for laptops, a link to your website would appear as one of the sites that has paid to be there.

The amazing thing about pay-per-click is that you do exactly what the name suggests. You only pay a couple of pennies each time a qualified lead (a person who is looking for vacuum cleaners) clicks onto your website. This is then the most targeted form of advertising and the most cost effective. This is because you don't end up paying a huge amount of money hoping that someone will like your advert and visit you but you only pay for those clients that come directly to your site.
