Arizona Arrest Records Free List Online

By Ben Kingsley

Public records can reveal a wealth of information about a person and a company. In fact, these records can establish or disprove the individual or company's reputation. With that said certain records such as Arizona arrest records are restricted from the public; however, one can still obtain a copy of their own criminal records as well as make public background checks.

For those who want a copy of public arrest records, there are several ways to do so. Researchers can send their request via online, walk in, standard mail and through fax. All requests must be made in writing or submitted online using the site's Public Records Request Form. All requests once processed will generate an invoice and this will be sent to the person requesting the records via USPS, email or fax.

Payment is convenient as the Office accepts several forms of payment including cashier's checks, money order, or business checks. The Office is not authorized to accept personal checks as payment. Once the payment is received, the records will be sent to the person. Processing will take about 20 days starting from the time the Office receives the request. The Office does not accept any walk in; however, a person can submit or drop their request at the public counter. All records are checked and reviewed before the Document's Custodian for any errors.

Fees vary accordingly. For records up to nine (9) pages, payment is $9.00, any excess of which $1/page is charged. For DVD/CD copies, cost is $25. For audio cassette tapes, cost is $5.00, photo Cd is $35, Thumbnail sheets - $10 and for 8 x 10 photographs, the charge is $35. The State law allows review of records before purchasing of the said records. To review the records, one needs to set up an appointment with the Office. Call the Office and leave a message including the researcher's name, contact number as well as the invoice number.

For those individuals who want to get or do a background check on himself or herself, they can do so for free in Arizona. Simply download the "Records Review Packet" available from the government site, fill in the application form, follow the rest of the steps and mail the documents. Processing usually takes about 15 days and records will be sent to the person's mailing address.

For those who are interested, want to do bulk arrest search, and are time constrained, one way to make a quick search is to check out commercial public records websites that offer public record query. Many sites online offer such services and some do provide the service free for basic information and a minimal fee for complete access to the record. Additionally, one can do bulk searches as well thus enabling one to complete the examinations in a shorter time.
